So here’s our little chat about our memories, impressions, and experiences of Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire, originating in 2002 and continuing all the way up until today. But Ruby and Sapphire feels like the game in which a lot of the modern Pokémon look was established. Ruby and Sapphire really stick with me as the last time I had that “playground” experience with Pokémon. So for a few months we were all FREAKING OUT that TIME HAD FROZEN in our Pokémon games. There are a handful of Pokémon games I never finished because I was just not as obsessed with the series for a few generations.
