Add CBS Pittsburgh to the list of CBS News & Stations properties that have integrated Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality (AR/VR) capabilities into its daily newscasts.
The technology, rolled out at 12 other Paramount Global-owned broadcast TV properties, was first deployed on Monday during the KDKA-2 4pm newscast with anchor Kristine Sorenson and meteorologists Mary Ours and Ray Petelin.
“Our new AR/VR technology helps us bring complex stories to life in ways that are more engaging and easier for viewers to understand,” said CBS Pittsburgh President/GM Julie Eisenman.
It’s an investment in innovation that strengthens our ability to inform and serve viewers across the Pittsburgh region.”
