ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The City of Rochester wants your help. Teaming with the United Christian Leadership Ministry of Western New York, the city is looking for people to join Rochester’s Civilian Public Safety Interview Panel. The panel is volunteer-run and the city says it plays a role in which men and women are hired at the Rochester Police Department officers. After the interview, the panel shares impressions with the Rochester Police Command staff and the Police Chief, so they can make hiring decisions. “Our officers serve our community, and so we value community voices in selecting the next officers to join our Police force,” Smith said.
