Broadway Box Office: ‘Death of a Salesman,’ ‘Cats: The Jellicle Ball’ End Runs on a High

Last week saw the closure of three productions, with Death of a Salesman and Cats: The Jellicle Ball reaching new highs in the final week of their runs.
The play, which announced recoupment in May, closed out its final week with a gross of $886,815 and capacity close to 100 percent.
After Death of a Salesman, Hamilton was the next highest grossing show last week with $2.3 million, followed by The Lion King with $2.2 million.
Ragtime, which is nearing the end of its run on Aug. 16, brought in $1.85 million, slightly below its high last week.
MJ was the fifth highest grossing show with $1.84 million.
