The findings show that 29% of travelers surveyed across Europe, said they intend to visit Greece by May 2027, placing the country among the most sought-after destinations in the survey, behind Romania at 45%, Italy at 38% and Sweden at 37%. Of those polled, more than half (58%) said they had already traveled to Greece, while 42% were planning to visit for the first time. GNTO analysts note that the figures demonstrate a strong demand for the country but also a significant segment of repeat visitors. In the same study, 35% of respondents said they were planning to travel to Greece between September and November 2026. The survey covers 10 European markets (United Kingdom, Austria, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Netherlands, Poland, Sweden and Romania).
