Fadahunsi, who represents the Osun East senatorial district, and a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), spoke ahead of Saturday’s Osun governorship election in which the APC is one of the contending parties. In the video circulating on social media, the senator, speaking in Yoruba, accused Accord Party supporters of attacking APC members and allegedly called on his audience to retaliate. Senator Fadahunsi said, “From now on, whenever you see Accord members, kill them. “This is a serious threat to lives and the peaceful conduct of the August 15 election. The campaign council’s call came amid growing concerns over the conduct of the election and the threat of violence among rival political camps.
