From hands-on crafts and a new museum trail to family activities celebrating the new travelling exhibition Bound by the Sea, there’s plenty to keep the children entertained throughout the month. Until Sunday, August 23, children can take part in free, drop in ‘Make and Take’ craft sessions. From Monday, August 17 to Sunday, August 23, they can can create colourful decorative pebbles to take home. Families can also enjoy the self-led Summer Beach Logbook Trail exploring the Museum to discover hidden sandcastles before unscrambling the letters to solve the seaside-themed puzzle. Up to three kids go free at the Scottish Maritime Museum with every paying adult or concession ticket.
