It's a bit too prescient for comfort—a bit like every episode of Black Mirror is happening to a single family. What it shares with Black Mirror is a cynicism about modern American life, and a disorienting sense that you never know what’s going to happen next. That’s the type of sci-fi analogy that the best of Black Mirror is adept at exploring.
