When Grand Theft Auto 6 pre-orders started last month, it quickly became apparent through the PlayStation Store that the Ultimate Edition was more popular. Now, Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick has confirmed as such in a recent interview with CNBC. While that’s certainly true, especially with all the hype around Grand Theft Auto 6 leading up to launch, the Ultimate Edition offers exclusive access to five stores. Grand Theft Auto 6’s Ultimate Edition costs $99.99, but its Standard Edition is no slouch, retailing for $79.99 – the only new title after Mario Kart World to be priced the same this generation. Zelnick didn’t corroborate that figure, but he said current pre-orders were “unprecedented and astonishing” in a recent investor call.
