Five men have been arrested following the seizure of drugs worth more than £1 million in the Greater Belfast area. Detectives from the PSNI’s Organised Crime Branch seized the “significant quantity” of Class A and Class B drugs during operations on Monday and Tuesday. The five men, aged 26, 27, 33, 34 and 59, remain in police custody after being arrested on suspicion of a number of offences, including possession of Class A and Class B controlled drugs with intent to supply. A PSNI spokesperson added: “Families across Belfast do not want to see the lives of their young people and loved ones blighted by drugs. I would also like to take this opportunity to appeal to anyone with any information about suspected drug dealing in their area to call the non-emergency number 101.”
