WEST MERCIA Police have donated ‘grab bags’ to Worcestershire County Council that can be given to people who have had to flee their homes due to domestic abuse. One hundred bags have been put together by officers in the Prevention Hub, with each council receiving 25 bags each. The idea behind the bags is that those fleeing domestic abuse may leave with nothing, and these can be given out to people when needed, so they have the essentials. Insp Jodie Davies said: “For many victims of domestic abuse, the decision to leave is one of the most difficult and courageous steps they will ever take. Anyone who believes they are affected by domestic abuse is encouraged to reach out, whether directly to police or via local support services:
