A pivotal contributor to the Knicks’ first championship in 53 years, big man Karl-Anthony Towns is yet again eligible for a max contract extension, which this summer would come in at four years, $272 million.
This is not to say, however, that the Knicks and Towns won’t agree on something.
Towns is due $57 million in 2026-27 and then has a player option for 2027-28 worth $61 million.
But it would not be a surprise for Towns to do everything in his power to stay in the Big Apple.
