The former Barcelona and Brazil star has officially joined the race to take over the Monegasque club with the backing of Andorran investment fund Clayton Sport, according to L’Équipe.
Monaco executive director Oleksiy Yefimov reportedly received a letter of intent outlining a potential investment project involving the 2005 Ballon d’Or winner.
His approach arrived shortly after Monaco publicly expressed confidence in its takeover negotiations with former NBA All-Star Jamal Mashburn and his consortium, Helen Holdings.
The FFBB Appeals Chamber recently upheld the decision to exclude Monaco from the 2026-27 domestic season.
