While it's great to pat ourselves on the back in celebration of our monster Commonwealth Games medal haul, one can't help but wonder just how seriously other former powerhouses like England and Canada took the latest edition. However, if the Games are to continue in the current format it would be nice next time to hear a national anthem other than the current dirge. Surely it's time to change to "We are Australian". After all, "we are one (monoculture) but we are many and from all the lands on earth we come".
