The Road Fund Administration (RFA) and the Namibian Police this week signed another Memorandum of Agreement to capture their shared commitment to strengthen road safety, improve compliance with road traffic laws, and ultimately protect the lives of all road users across Namibia. The first agreement was signed in 2021 to support traffic law enforcement and adjudication in accordance with the road fund’s Rules and Principles. Statistics released by the Motor Vehicle Accident Fund show that from 01 January to 02 August this year, 267 people died in traffic accidents. Over the next three years, the RFA has pledged N$36 million to support traffic law enforcement.
