Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIGP) in charge of Administration and Personnel, DCG Jeanne Chantal Ujeneza, briefed 160 police officers preparing to deploy to South Sudan for the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS).
DCG Ujeneza reminded the officers that they will represent Rwanda and urged them to uphold professionalism, discipline and teamwork, while respecting the culture of the people they will serve and work with.
“You are going on a mission on behalf of your country, and you must demonstrate professionalism, which Rwanda is known for, particularly in peacekeeping missions.
She also urged them to remain prepared and committed to their responsibilities despite the different operating environment they will encounter.
Represent Rwanda as good ambassadors through your conduct and character, reflecting the values of Rwandans,” she said.
