Kapurthala: Rail Coach Factory (RCF), Kapurthala, will roll out its first rake of 19 LHB broad-gauge passenger coaches for Bangladesh Railway on August 12. The rake comprises three AC sleeper cars, three AC chair cars, 11 non-AC chair cars and two power cars, specially customised to meet Bangladesh Railway’s operational and passenger requirements. AC coaches will also have fans. RCF previously supplied 120 LHB coaches to Bangladesh Railway in 2015-16. In 2024, Bangladesh Railway placed an order through RITES for 200 coaches in seven variants.
