PM urges Taiwanese investment, pledges support

President Lai expressed that Taiwan was “deeply moved” by Saint Vincent and the Grenadines’ steadfast support for its inclusion in international forums.
A central theme of the visit is the transition into a “next chapter” of the relationship, specifically through increased Taiwanese investment.
Friday identified four pillars for the economic development of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines:AgricultureTourismThe Blue Economy: Including fisheries, marinas, and maritime industries.
The Prime Minister invited Taiwanese investors to explore every sector, noting that even modest investments could “go a long way to creating more opportunities and providing good jobs” for his people.
Key upcoming events include an investor roundtable designed to connect the delegation with prospective Taiwanese business partners, as well as celebrations marking the official anniversary of their diplomatic ties.
