The Nigerian Independent System Operator (NISO) has pledged to collaborate with the Gombe State Electricity Regulatory Commission (GOSERC) to develop market frameworks aimed at improving electricity supply in Gombe State. Mohammed congratulated members of the state commission on their appointments and commended Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya for establishing the electricity regulatory commission. Arabi, however, stressed the need for collaboration with NISO to ensure the seamless integration of the mini-grids into the wider electricity market. For his part, NISO Executive Director, Finance and Corporate Services, Babajide Ibironke, assured the commission of the organisation’s open-door policy and continued engagement with sub-national electricity regulators. He said such collaboration is essential for strengthening electricity supply and supporting the development of Nigeria’s evolving electricity market.
