A popular upscale Boston bar is out of sorts after losing its license for two days following a bizarre social ritual and underage serving. In one incident, they observed a barkeep stand on the bar and pour wine in a patron’s mouth from a porrón. As part of an agreement to keep its license, the bar will use juice and soda for the communal pouring tradition. The Tremont Street bar, which also has locations in Brookline and Cambridge, was also cited for several incidents serving underage patrons. The license suspension was based on the underage serving, while the wine ritual triggered a change in policy without sanction.
