SRINAGAR: The Eighth Central Pay Commission has not yet submitted its recommendations to the Central Government on revision of pay and pensions of government employees and pensioners, the Lok Sabha was informed on Monday. Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary said the government has not received the recommendations of the Eighth CPC so far while replying to an unstarred question by Shri Varun Chaudhary. The response did not provide details of the number of meetings held by the Commission. The government was also asked whether it had finalised the likely date for implementing the Eighth CPC recommendations and the fitment factor for revising the pay and pension of Central Government employees and pensioners, particularly as January 1, 2026, was the due date for the revision. The government’s reply stated that the Eighth CPC has not submitted its recommendations yet.
