Kilmarnock and Louisa County are both home to a Pizza Hut Classic, a version of the chain restaurant that’s a culinary blast from the past. The nearby Classic franchises are owned by the Wichita, Kansas-based Daland Corp., which also owns retro locations in Onley and Appomattox, and newer-style Pizza Huts in Fredericksburg and Stafford County. Sean Farrell, manager for Daland’s Virginia District, even told me the thin-crust pizza I still eat at Pizza Hut in 2026 was actually the first kind the chain sold.
