Kota: Police in Rajasthan’s Jhalawar have busted a racket allegedly involved in cheating around 150 job aspirants on the pretext of providing government jobs, contractual employment and inter-departmental transfers, and arrested two accused. The racket was busted on Monday after a complaint was received at the Kotwali police station on Friday last week. Following the complaint, Sub-Inspector Vijay Singh conducted a preliminary probe, placing the suspects under surveillance. Led by Station House Officer (SHO) Mukesh Kumar, the team raided potential hideouts and arrested two main suspects, identified as Abdul Rauf (55) and Saddam (35), both residents of the Jhalawar district. According to Superintendent of Police Amit Kumar, if a candidate secured a job independently on their merit, the gang falsely claimed responsibility for the selection and extorted the remaining agreed amount.
