The Ghana Chamber of Clean Energy (GCCE) has convened the inaugural meeting of its Electric Vehicle (EV) Working Group, bringing together leading companies and stakeholders from Ghana's electric mobility ecosystem to develop a coordinated industry position on reforms to the country's electric vehicle import regime. The Working Group was established in recognition of the need for a more coordinated industry approach to advocacy on electric mobility policy and fiscal reforms. Three Priority AreasTo guide its work, the Working Group identified three strategic priorities that will underpin its policy recommendations and engagement with government. First, the Working Group will develop evidence-based proposals for reforming Ghana's EV import duty framework to improve the affordability of electric vehicles while ensuring that proposed reforms remain fiscally responsible. The Chamber welcomes other industry stakeholders interested in joining the Working Group to contact the GCCE Secretariat.
