According to court filings at the Delta State High Court in Asaba, the journalist allegedly used his Facebook page, “Fejiro Oliver,” to publish “false and injurious” statements between July and August 2025, aimed at tarnishing the image of the governor. The charge sheet further alleged that the journalist accused Dafinone of hoarding school buses and transformers meant for his constituents. Police sources confirmed that the case has been assigned to a High Court in Asaba, where Oliver is expected to take his plea in the coming days.
