Police today recovered several crude bomb-like objects, a significant amount of bomb-making materials and equipment from a three-storey building in Savar's Shyampur on Tuesday night. Earlier, the Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit of Dhaka Metropolitan Police cordoned off the building, owned by one Abdul Jalil, at around 6:30pm. During the operation, several JMB leaflets, several crude bomb-like objects, and a significant quantity of bomb-making materials and equipment were recovered from the house, he said. Besides CTTC members, police from the local police station and officials of the National Security Intelligence (NSI) were present at the scene. A shopkeeper near the building told The Daily Star that CTTC members had been surrounding the building for around three and a half hours.
