Kyler Murray has been named the starting quarterback for the Minnesota Vikings to begin the regular season after a training camp battle this summer with former first-round pick J.J. McCarthy, according to team officials.
Since being brought in, Murray was considered the number one option for the Vikings but the team didn’t make it official until now.
The big question still remains: What to do with McCarthy?
Veteran Quarterback Carson Wentz and former Minnesota Gopher Quarterback Max Brosmer are still on the Vikings roster ahead of the team getting down to 53 players.
