The Berrien County Health Department is now taking applications from organizations interested in partnering with the county to combat opioid abuse. Last week, the the Berrien County Board of Commissioners authorized a new round of opioid settlement grants to begin in 2027 and totaling $1.5 million over three years. Berrien County Health Department health promotion and prevention supervisor Hannah Darr tells us organizations seeking to apply for grants could propose approaching the opioid epidemic in a variety of ways.
