Congressman Tim Walberg says he remains committed to helping Southwest Michigan communities recover after the Federal Emergency Management Agency denied the state’s appeal for additional disaster assistance following deadly March tornadoes. Walberg now says although the denial remains in place, he’s “committed to working with local and state leaders to help our communities move forward with resilience and hope.” Michigan Emergency Management and Homeland Security Division Commander Kevin Sweeney says the state will continue working with local partners to support recovery efforts and connect survivors with available resources.
