JJ Abrams defends Gracie Abrams’ foray into acting: “I know how hard she’s working”JJ Abrams has defended his daughter, Gracie Abrams, as the singer-songwriter prepares to take her first jump into acting. The acclaimed director is just about to release his latest movie, The End of Oak Street, on August 14th. Meanwhile, Gracie was previously announced to star in the upcoming A24 movie Please from Babygirl filmmaker Halina Reijn earlier this year. In a new interview with The Hollywood Reporter, he was asked about Gracie’s move into acting and said: “I know how hard she’s working to do all she’s doing so I’m thrilled for her.” The director added, “As a parent, all you can do is hope that the work that your kids do fulfills them, so as long as that’s what’s happening, and I know how hard she’s working, I’m thrilled for her.”
