A suspect has been arrested in connection with a July 10 stabbing at the Angry Jerk restaurant in Silver Spring. Mark Reginald Melton, 34, has been charged with attempted first-degree murder. According to the Montgomery County Police Department, the stabbing occurred at around 10:30 p.m. He is charged with attempted first-degree murder, first-degree assault, second-degree assault and other related charges. He is currently being held without bond in the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit.
