The scale of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe makes the operation particularly demanding, with thousands of performances taking place across venues throughout the capital. In 2025, the festivals generated almost £560 million for Edinburgh and around £850 million for the wider Scottish economy. Ben Fletcher chief executive of Logistics UK said: "The Edinburgh Fringe showcases how the logistics sector works tirelessly behind the scenes to keep events running smoothly so hundreds of thousands of visitors have a great time. Chris Snow, head of artist services at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society, said: "Alongside the artists telling their stories on stages across the city, the festival has a vital community of producers, technical and logistics specialists behind the scenes. "The logistic organisations who help make this festival possible also support thousands of jobs across the UK creative industries.
