Suna East Member of Parliament Junet Mohamed has levelled explosive allegations against DCP leader Rigathi Gachagua accusing him of directing security forces to kill former prime minister Raila Odinga during the 2023 protests. MP Junet Mohamed alleges former DP Rigathi Gachagua plotted the late Raila Odinga's assassination. "Rigathi Gachagua is the man who summoned security officers in his office at 5am in the morning and told them to go and assassinate Baba. Junet dismissed Gachagua's right to comment on ODM or its late former leader, saying the two could not be mentioned in the same sentence. Junet also alleged that Gachagua had pressured Ruto not to appoint General Ogolla as Chief of Defence Forces, citing his ethnicity.
