Police reported a resident fell victim to a distraction burglary after a doorstep approach on Catherine Street in Keighley. The incident happened at around 11.20am on Saturday, August 8, when a man arrived at the victim’s rear door and offered gardening services. Police said the resident asked him to wait until their partner returned home before making a decision and directed him to the front of the house. After waiting out front for several minutes, the resident re-entered the property and discovered that a purse containing cash and a bank card had been stolen. Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 or speak to a local PCSO.
