The wreck of the Royal Navy destroyer HMS Tiger has been found off the Isle of Wight 118 years after the ship sank in a training accident.
Five-Year Search Finds Lost Royal Navy ShipThe discovery of HMS Tiger was the result of years of research rather than a simple underwater search.
They said their goal was to make sure that HMS Tiger, its story and the people connected with it would continue to be remembered.
During the night exercise in 1908, HMS Tiger was unable to avoid HMS Berwick before the collision.
The proposed updates would extend these protections to more military wreck sites and help preserve these underwater time capsules for future generations.
