Voting starts at noon Wednesday, Aug. 12, with the eight designs facing off in four first-round matchups: Lighthouse vs. Lighthouse, Fisherman vs. Fisherman, NY vs. NY and ISLES vs. ISLANDERS. “The orange NY jersey would be cool, but there’s no white on it, so it just doesn’t pop enough.” The winning jersey will become the Islanders’ third jersey beginning with the 2027-28 season. The contest drew 80,490 submissions after the Islanders invited fans to create their own designs earlier this year.
