As part of International Overdose Awareness Day, the event will take place at Woodroad Park on August 31. Organised by the East Ayrshire Lived Experience Panel and East Ayrshire Alcohol and Drugs Partnership, it will run from 11.30am until 3.30pm. The programme includes a town walk beginning at 11.30am, a remembrance ceremony, lived-experience stories and support stalls. Maree Todd MSP, minister for drugs and alcohol policy, is also due to address attendees. Food, music and fellowship will be available during the event, which carries the message: “No town too small.
