The Maiduguri Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Tuesday, August 11, 2026 arraigned one Muhammad Korimi Abdullahi before Justice Maina Lawan of the Borno State High Court, sitting in Maiduguri, Borno State. Abdullahi was arraigned on a six-count charge bordering on criminal breach of trust to the tune of N186, 000,000.00 (One Hundred and Eighty-Six Million Naira). Iko prayed the court for a trial date and the remand of the defendant in a Correctional Centre. Justice Lawan thereafter adjourned the matter till September 7, 2026 and remanded the defendant in Maiduguri Maximum Correctional Centre. Abdulahi’s journey to the Correctional centre started when the sum of N186,000,000 was transferred to him for safekeeping but diverted the money for his own personal use.
