The state’s total own revenue during the period grew by 11.9 per cent compared to July last year.
Programme expenditure up to July was 19.1 per cent higher than during the corresponding period of the previous financial year.
Noting that revenue collection as well as programme and capital expenditure had increased compared to last year, Majhi called for further improvement.
He directed the Finance Department to strengthen the revenue collection system and asked various departments to expedite implementation and spending to ensure higher utilisation under the capital expenditure head.
