The charity said it was looking for people with a range of professional and life experience to support residents seeking advice.
Former electrical engineer Mike joined Citizens Advice Wirral after a 53-year career and has since trained as an adviser and begun mentoring new volunteers.
Karen had recently retired from her career in education on ill health grounds when she joined Citizens Advice Wirral as a trainee volunteer in 2014.
Through extensive training, ongoing development and determination, she progressed through a range of advice roles before becoming the organisation's first volunteer Advice Team Leader.
Citizens Advice Wirral said previous advice experience was not required, with training and ongoing support provided to volunteers.
