Barbara Stevens died after being struck repeatedly on the head at the home she shared with Robert Page, 75, in College Road, Bexhill. Police officers forced entry to the property and discovered Mr Page, 75, dead in the kitchen. Ms Stevens was found breathing but unresponsive on a sofa in the living room. Ms Stevens was diagnosed with moderate-severity mixed dementia in February 2025 and was receiving treatment. Senior Coroner Laura Bradford concluded that Mr Page died by suicide and that Ms Stevens died as a result of unlawful killing.
