lnza Carol Mackenzielnza Carol Mackenzie passed away peacefully on August 4, 2026, in Washington, North Carolina at the age of 87. She married Scott Mackenzie, a Merchant Marine engineering officer, on August 27, 1960, and would have celebrated their 66th Anniversary this year. After moving to Washington, lnza became active with the Presbyterian Women Circles, knitting for others and joined the United States Power Squadrons with her husband. lnza is preceded in death by her mother, Christina Areskog, her father, Ivar Areskog and her sister Martha Karen Lunde. She is survived by her husband, Scott Mackenzie, son Kenneth James Mackenzie, (Kim), daughter Adriene Carol Mackenzie, (Eric Obermayer), grandsons Hunter Mackenzie, River Mackenzie, Jagger Mackenzie, Zarbian Obermayer and granddaughters Mackenzie Obermayer and Posy Mackenzie.
