The Environmental Health Department of the Ho Municipal Assembly has confiscated and destroyed cartons and packs of expired and unwholesome beverages and food products found at two retail outlets and warehouses in the municipality. The products were identified during routine inspections by Environmental Health officers as part of efforts to prevent unsafe food and beverages from reaching consumers. Following the inspection, the affected products were seized and subsequently destroyed to ensure they were not returned to the market. The Assembly has urged businesses dealing in food and beverages to comply with health and safety requirements and maintain proper storage and stock management practices. The Environmental Health Department says it will continue monitoring commercial outlets across the municipality to help safeguard public health.
