The family of Michael Ryan are hoping to finally receive justice in America this week following the tragic death of the Clare man in Ethiopia in 2019. This week an American court is hearing a civil case taken by Mr Ryan’s family seeking damages from Boeing for the incident. Attorney for Naoise Ryan, Steven Marks, said the family would not accept a settlement from Boeing. “Our client is committed to seeking accountability and justice from a jury and not accepting money from Boeing directly,” he said. Speaking previously, Michael’s mother Christine Ryan said that Boeing was responsible for the death of her son.
