Several rounds of thunderstorms have rumbled across the area over the past couple of days. Monday morning’s storm brought down power poles and lines in the 900 block of East Columbus Street in Kenton which resulted in a widespread power outage. AEP crews had power restored to most customers by 6:00 Monday evening. Power was restored by 8:00 Monday evening, and 31 was closed for several hours. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch has also been issued for the region, which is set to go until 8:00 pm this evening (08/11/26).
