Ari Lennox broke down on stage at London's Jazz Cafe Festival on Aug. 2. She shared with the crowd that touring costs have left her with an "astronomical and really depressing" bill. She was singing "Whipped Cream" when she paused to talk about money troubles from putting on shows. She appeared with Smino and Durand Bernarr at the third annual outdoor edition at Burgess Park in South London. Lennox explained that "Whipped Cream" from her 2019 album Shea Butter Baby always makes her cry.
