Officers from the Wrexham Rural team said they have seen a number of reported arsons across the district this summer, warning that the continued heat and dry ground mean fires can spread rapidly.
The warning follows two incidents in Minera and Brynteg on Monday (August 10), where police said small fires got out of control and spread.
Both North Wales Fire and Rescue Service and North Wales Police were called to the incidents.
“With the continued heat and extremely dry weather, this poses a real risk of the fire spreading rapidly.”
North Wales Police added: “If you have any information about fires being deliberately set, please contact us.
