Anticipation is rightly high for the second season of Ludwig, and we now have the official trailer for the new chapter as the acclaimed detective comedy-drama returns to the BBC later this month. The series depicts the adventures of John Taylor and Lucy Betts-Taylor – played by David Mitchell and Anna Maxwell Martin respectively – as they go in search of James, John's brother and Lucy's husband. Lucy, meanwhile, has landed a role at the local paper, but the duo come together again. Ludwig season 2 premieres on BBC One and BBC iPlayer on 20 August.
