Bellway Homes has applied to build up to 900 homes, community facilities, jobs and new green space at Enham Park, between Saxon Fields and Knights Enham. She said the development would "destroy established countryside and habitats." Clare and Paul Kavanagh called the scheme "too many dwellings for one conurbation" and asked whether local services could cope. In their objection, they said: "The local school at Knights Enham is oversubscribed, as are dentists and doctors in the town. She urged planners to prioritise brownfield land and added: "We must protect the countryside at all costs."
