Eyewitnesses are reporting extensive tailbacks on the A78 following the collision on the trunk road between Largs and Skelmorlie. It is understood that traffic is currently being diverted away from the area. The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service has confirmed that one appliance has been sent to the incident, and there are no reported casualties. It follows reports of a four-vehicle collision shortly after 4.30pm on Tuesday, August 11. Traffic Scotland is reporting slow-moving traffic in the area.
